Sub: Procedure for export of goods from Chennai Port through Tuticorin Port due to
Chennai Port Trust employees Go-Slow Tactics - Regarding.

§ § § § §

         In view of the Go-Slow tactics of the Chennai Port Trust exployees & considering the expected congestion in the Chennai Port and in the interest of export promotion, the facility of allowing stuffed containers containing export cargo after after examination by Customs at Chennai is being offered to facilitate exporters to export their consignments through Tuticorin Port with effect from 25.01.2001 till 15.02.2001 or till the situation eases whichever is earlier.

2.     The procedure prescribed in Public Notice 246/99 vide Para 3 to 16 shall be followed
