Sub: Declaration of Container Freight Station of M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation Ltd.  situated at  Thiruvallur High Road, Attanthangal Village, near Redhills, Chennai – 600 052 as Customs area under section 8[b] of the Customs Act, 1962 for both Import and Export goods – reg.

In exercise of the powers conferred under clause [b] of section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962, the premises specified below is declared as “CUSTOMS AREA” for the purpose of examination, unloading / destuffing of all FCL containers containing import goods and also for loading / stuffing of export cargo into containers.

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA AND LOCATION

 

The CFS is located in Thiruvalllur High Road, Attanthangal Village, Red Hills, Chennai – 600 052 having total area of 9.59 acres of land [out of which 3150 Sq.ft. for Import Warehouse and 16100 Sq.ft. for export warehouse] covered by survey nos. 128/1B, 128/2, 128/3A, 128/4A, 128/5, 128/6, 128/7, 128/8, 131/1, 131/4 and 131/5 of Attanthangal Village, Ponneri Thaluk, Thiruvallur District of the State of Tamil Nadu.

                                    EAST BY       :   PART OF SURVEY 128/3B, 131/2, 131/7A.

                                    WEST BY      :   IAF LAND

                                    NORTH BY   :   SURVEY NO. 223/5F.

 

PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED:

            The procedures for dealing with Import Cargo [other than LCL and Passengers’ Unaccompaied Baggage] and Export cargo are to be followed as laid down in Public Notice Nos. 19/98 and 222/99, issued by this Custom House.

 

            This Public notice is effective from 29.01.2001.
