Subject : Need for
endorsement from AEPC for shipments of non-quota Items - clarifications.

Attention of all Exporters / CHAs and all concerned is invited to Govt. of India,
Ministry of Commerce, Notification No. 7(RE-2000) 1997-2002, New Delhi dated 31st
March 2000 providing for an amendment to Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export
and Import items, 1997-2002.
Para (IV) of the above notification delete entries at Sr. No. 9,
9A, and 11 in Appendix 1 of 2 i.e. Export Policy of the above book.
This has the effect of abolishing the requirement of the certification of bills
by:-
(a)
Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council
(TEXPROCIL) for exporting fabrics and made ups of all fabric other than manmade fabrics
Not Under Quota restriction.
(b)
Synthetic and Rayon Textile Export Promotion
council (SRTEPC) for exports of yarn, fabric and made-ups of Man Made Fibre (MMF) not
under quota restriction; and
(c)
AEPC for export of garments and knitwears
not under Quota restriction.
Henceforth the requirement of certification of Shipping Bills by
the above Export Promotion Councils (EPC) for the above categories of exports, i.e.
non-quota exports stands abolished.
