Sub: Award under SAMMAN Scheme for 2000 –
2001 – reg.

Kind attention is invited to this
office Public Notice No.80/99 dated 23.02.99.
It is proposed to accord awards under “SAMMAN SCHEME”. The Importers/Exporters/ Custom
House Agents who have performed well during the financial year 2000 – 2001 in
respect of payment of duty and volume of export made (on the basis of value)
through this Commissionerate are eligible for the same.
Method of selection and other
criteria in this regard are prescribed in the Public Notice 80 /99, and there
is no change except in the clause 1.5 relating to the period of
performance. There will be no extra
weightage for the efforts made in the last quarter of financial year.
Those Importers / Exporters / CHA
eligible for the award are invited to send their nominations with the requisite
details as stipulated in PN 80 /99
