            Trading Public and CHAs are informed that the tariff value in respect of Cashew Kernels for levy of Cess has been fixed at Rs.3000/-[Rupees three thousand only] with effect from 01.07.2001.

 

            Notification No. S.O. 597[E] dated 27.06.2001 issued in this regard is annexed for information and guidance of all concerned.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 27^th June, 2001

 

            S.O.597 E.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Agricultural Produce Cess Act, 1940 (27 of 1940) sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Produce Cess Act, 1966 (15 of 1966), the Central Government hereby fixes, for the purposes of collection of cess, the tariff value in respect of Cashew Kernel at rupees three thousand only per quintal for the period commencing on and from the 1^st day of July, 2001 to 30^th day of June, 2002.
