Sub: Customs - Arrangements for Customs Examination of
export cargo during Last Week of December 2001 – Reg.

The Trading Public is hereby informed that the Custom House would carryout urgent Customs Export related work on 30th and 31st December 2001 notwithstanding that 30.12.2001 is a holiday. With a view to facilitate exports, export clearance would be allowed on 30th and 31st December upto 12.00 midnight. Following facilities would be available till 31st December 2001 for export related Customs work.
1. Service Centre will be functioning from 10 am to 6 pm on 30.12.2001 and 31.12.2001.
2. Facility for Export assessment will be available from 10 am to 6 pm on 30.12.2001 and 31.12.2001.
3. Export examination will be provided in the Port Area and in all CFS from 10 am to 10 pm on 30.12.2001 and from 10 am to 12 midnight on 31.12.2001.
However, the facility of export examination in CFS and Port Trust Area shall be made available only on collection of prescribed MOT Charges after working hours on 30.12.2001 and upto midnight of 31.12.2001. Exporters/CHAs are informed to file the OT applications well in advance for posting of officers.
