PUBLIC NOTICE 102/99

         

         Sub:  Procedure for submitting Bill of entry through floppy

         Under the Indian Customs EDI System(ICES) – at

          Air cargo complex, Meenambakkam , Chennai.

 

It is brought to the notice of all Importers/CHA’s and members of the trade that  submission of Bill of entry through floppy will come into effect from 1^st August 1999.

 

The guidelines for preparation of the Bill of entry is given in the annexure.  The details are required to be submitted in a flat file format .  The User Job No. in the table Bill of Entry should be a running S.No. for a particular C.H.A.  This user Job No. would be the reference for EDI Bill of Entry No. and other details.  Importers/CHAs would be required to pay Rs.20/-in Service Centre irrespective of number of items for taking printout of Bill of Entry etc.  In case of any difficulties technical  or otherwise, members of the trade may contact Deputy Commissioner (EDI) for clarification.
