In exercise of the powers conferred by section 156 of the Customs Act., 1962
(52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further
to amend the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods )
Rules, 1988, namely :-
1. (1) These
rules may be called the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported
Goods) Amendment Rules, 2002.
(2)
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. In the
Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 1988, in
the Schedule, under the heading "Notes to rules", for the
sub-headings "Rule 4(2)(a)(iii)", and "Rule 4(2)(b)" , the
sub-headings "Rule 4(2) (e)(iii)" , and "Rule 4(2)(f)"
shall respectively be substituted.
