PUBLIC NOTICE 59 / 2001

Sub: Declaration of M/s. CWC, Virugambakkam, Chennai as “Hub Point” – regarding.

            Attention of the Steamer Agents, Importers, Exporters and their representatives [Custom House Agents] is invited to this Custom House Public Notice 257/2000 dated 05.09.2000 and 285/2000 dated 22.09.2000 wherein the procedure for consolidation / aggregation of cargo from / to various ICDs were detailed.

 

            In this regard, M/s.Central Warehousing Corporation, situated at No.1, Arcot Road, Golden Studio Complex, Virugambakkam, Chennai – 92 is declared as “Hub Point” for consolidation / aggregation of import / export cargo meant for / to various ICDs, as envisaged in Board’s Circular No.55/2000 dated 30.06.2000 and 67/2000 dated 17.08.2000 reproduced as this Custom House P.N. No.257/2000 and 258/2000 respectively.

 

            The Godown No.XI-C having a total area of 16,490 Sq. ft. is hereby declared as “Customs Area” for the purpose of “Hub-Point” operation.  The procedures for the operation of “Hub-Point” have to be followed as laid down in the Public Notices 257 & 285/2000.

 

            This notice comes into effect from 01.01.2001 and shall remain in force until further orders.
