It is brought to the notice of Trade/Public that the Ministry vide its Circular No. 90/2000-Cus. Dated 07.11.2000 in F.No.450/114/2000-Cus.IV has empowered the Customs Officers to collect the dues/inspection fees levied under the Destructive Insects and Pests Act, 1914, in terms of provisions of Section 142 of Customs Act, 1962 as arrears of revenue.
