Sub: Procedure for export of goods from Chennai Port through Tuticorin Port due to
Chennai Port Trust employees Go-Slow Tactics - Regarding.

§ § § § §

         In view of the Go-Slow adopted by the Chennai Port Trust employees and the expected congestion the  Port and in the interest of export promotion, it has been decided to permit exporters to shift export containers, after examination by Customs at Chennai  through Tuticorin Port with immediate effect and till 31.05.2001 or till the situation at Chennai Port improves whichever is earlier.

2.     The procedure prescribed in Public Notice 246/99 vide Para 3 to 16 shall be followed
