Sub: Declaration of additional “CUSTOMS AREA” at the
CFS of M/s. A.S.Shipping Agencies (P) Ltd., Numbal Village, Chennai–77 – reg.

1.
By Public Notice 149/95 dated 25.08.95, an area of 4.5 acres
of land (i.e.1,96,020 Sq. ft.) having a shed measuring 14000 Sq. ft. situated
at Numbal Village covered by Patta Nos.732 & 733 has been declared as
‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for the purpose of examination, loading / stuffing of export
cargo.
2.
By Public Notice 87/96 dated 08.05.96, a covered shed marked
‘C’ measuring 7200 Sq. ft. has been declared as ‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for handling
import cargo.
3.
By Public Notice 169/96 dated17.10.96, an additional shed
marked ‘B’ measuring 7000 Sq. ft. has been declared as ‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for
handling export cargo.

By Public Notice 68/98 dated 18.05.98, an additional area of
15600 Sq. ft. extending the boundaries of the existing area and a covered shed
marked ‘D’ measuring 6000 Sq. ft. have been declared as ‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for
handling export cargo. By this declaration, the total ground area of the CFS
would be 211620 Sq. ft.

By Public Notice 160/98 dated 27.08.98, an open area of
95832 Sq. ft. (just opposite to the CFS) and one more shed marked ‘E’ measuring
18000 Sq. ft. within the CFS declared earlier (having ground area of 211620 Sq.
ft.) have been declared as ‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for handling export cargo.

By Public Notice 241/98 dated an open shed marked ‘F’
measuring 5000 Sq. ft. (within the declared land 211620 Sq. ft.) has been
declared as ‘CUSTOMS AREA’ for handling export cargo.

By Public Notice 126/99 dated 16.04.99, the custodian
extended the open shed marked ‘F’ and the total area of the shed ‘F’ has been
revised as 6250 Sq.ft.

On re-measurement of the existing declared area, the actual
area occupied by the CFS found to be 2,03,990 Sq. ft. and 71,874 Sq. ft. only
in lieu of declared area of 2,11,620 Sq. ft. and 95,832 Sq. ft. respectively.
As such an amended Public Notice 3/2001, incorporating the correct measurement
of the areas has been issued on 08.01.2001.
Further one open shed marked ‘G’ measuring 700 Sq. ft. (within the
existing area of 2,03,990 Sq. ft.) and an additional area of 38760 Sq.ft within
which one open shed ‘I’ measuring 4200 Sq. ft. and a covered shed ‘H’ measuring
3800 Sq. ft. have also been declared as “CUSTOMS AREA” for the purpose of
handling export cargo.

Similarly, by Notifications Code No.023 – File
No.S4/571/2000 Bonds dated 26.09.2000, 02.01.2001 and 20.04.2001, 2 covered
godowns measuring 28539 Sq. ft., 21120 Sq.ft. and an open area measuring 21624
Sq.ft. have been notified as “PUBLIC BONDED WAREHOUSE”.

Now, as requested by the Custodians an additional area of
85339 Sq.ft.(including Private road measuring 25237 Sq.ft.) adjacent to the
Bonded warehouse situated in No.67, Numbal Village, Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur
Dt. (Comprised in O.S.Nos.87, R..S. No.125/1, present survey No.125/9, 125/10,
125/11, 125,12, 125/15 & 125/16 under Patta No.1244) is declared as “CUSTOMS
AREA” for handling import laden containers.

By declaring the above, the total “CUSTOMS AREA” – shed-wise
(including the Bonded warehouse and private roads) – in the said CFS will be as
follows:
I. An area of 2,03,990 Sq. ft. within which
seven sheds ‘A’ to ‘G’ measuring as:
SHED ‘A’ (200’ x 70’) : 14,000 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘B’ (145’ x 48.3’) :
7,000 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘C’ (150’ x 48’) :
7,200 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘D’ (100’ x 60’) :
6,000 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘E’ (300’ x 60’) : 18,000 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘F’
(OPEN SHED)
(313’ x 25’) :
7,825 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘G’ (50’ x 14’) :
700 Sq. ft.
II.
An open area of 71,874 Sq. ft. just opposite to the CFS;
III.
An area of 2,34,142
Sq. ft. within which two sheds ‘H’ & ‘I’ measuring as:
SHED ‘H’ (100’ x 38’) :
3,800 Sq. ft.
SHED ‘I’ (OPEN SHED)

x 35’) : 4,200 Sq. ft.,
Two Bonded
Warehouses with closed sheds measuring 28,539 Sq. ft. & 21,120 Sq. ft. and
an open Bonded Warehouse measuring 21,564 Sq. ft. and Private Roads measuring
25,237 Sq. ft.
The procedures for dealing Import FCL cargo
and Export cargo have to be followed as laid down in Public Notice No.19/98.
This
Public Notice shall come into effect from
08.08.2001.
