            Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, New Delhi, Notification No.75/2001-CUS. vide F.No. 354/74/95-TRUdated 06.07.2001, is reproduced below for the guidance of the importers, clearing agents and trading public.

Notification No. 75/2001 - Customs

            In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 84/97-Customs, dated the 11th November, 1997, namely:-

In the said notification, in ANNEXURE, after serial number 6 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:-

"7. United Nations World Food Programme. ".

Note:- The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide notification No. 84/97-Customs, dated the 11th November, 1997 [G.S.R. 645(E), dated the 11th November, 1997] and was last amended by notification No. 119/99-Customs, dated 2nd November, 1999 [G.S.R. 741 (E), dated the 2nd November, 1999].
