SUB: Admittance
of Export Cargoes at CFSs without Shipping Bill - and Multi Shippers –

All the Steamer Agents, CHAs, Importers-Exporters
and all other concerned are hereby informed that all goods meant for export can
be moved inside to CFSs without the Shipping Bills. However, the rest of the instructions contained in Public Notice
19/98 dated 03.02.1998 of this Custom House and Circular dated 03.02.2001 of
the Deputy Commissioner of Customs (Docks) issued from file
S.Misc.23/2001-Docks should be followed strictly.
Further the CFSs should accept cargoes only on the basis of letter
specifically requesting admittance of the cargoes from the exporters’ and
clearly mentioning that the goods are for export. The export cargoes received without Shipping Bills should be kept
separately in an area earmarked for this purpose. Further, all CFSs should make proper entries in their inward
register giving details of Cargo, Shipper, Lorry Number, Invoice No: and Packing List. The register should be presented to the Superintendent/Preventive
Officer in charge of the CFSs as and when asked for verification. The CFSs, which fails to adhere to these
instructions, will be debarred from accepting export cargoes without Shipping
Bills.
