Office of the Textile Commissioner hereby seeks to inform
all the cotton waste export quota holders for the cotton season 1998-1999
(Oct.98-Sept.99) that the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India have granted
further general extension in the shipment period upto 31/03/2002 to complete
the fulfillment of their outstanding export obligation against the respective
registered quantities.
All
the concerned exporters of cotton waste, holding the quota and valid
certificate but not having exported full or part of the quota so far, shall
have to revalidate their respective Bank Guarantees upto 30/09/2002 with a
further claim period of 3 months i.e. upto 31/12/2002 as required under the
terms and conditions of export already prescribed in Memorandum-I, dated
22/09/1998 (as amended upto date) issued by the Textile Commissioner. All the
concerned exporters shall, therefore, have to inform, in writing, to the
Textile Commissioner regarding their willingness to avail of the facilities of
extended shipment period extended by the Government of India on or before
19/11/2001 and submit the revalidated B.G. on or before 3/12/2001 failing
which, it will be presumed that they are not interested in availing of the
facility of this extension and further necessary action as appropriate in terms
of Memorandum-I, dated 22/09/98 (as amended from time to time) in general, read
with Memorandum-IV bearing No.1/1/98-99/Cotton/149 dated 13/10/98 will be taken
without making any further reference to them in this regard.
